1)on the 21st, mon, there's practice for everyone (check the schedule!) at five right! but we need to have a meeting for seniors farewell as well. so pls come ON TIME! so that we'll be able to start practice as soon as possible. this is also for your own good cos then you can go home ON TIME- or even EARLY if you guys are good (:

2) next thing's on PUNCTUALITY
you people are coming late too often! not all, but a handful. so, to set things straight, when we say 2:30 (for example), pls be at the studio BY TWO THIRTY and be in your dance attire. and if you have to go to the toilet, go before two thirty! otherwise, you'll be fined and i'm sure you dont want to.

on the brighter side of things, mrs chia said that we did a good job arrangingo ur shoes so neatly (: keep it up!! make maurine dearest proud.

please note that you will have to teach the ACES day dance next week during your PE lessons which will be combined in the hall. make sure you know your steps and mentally prepare yourselves to stand on stage and teach them.
if your PE teachers ask you to go up please dont hesitate to cos there isnt much time, and as a dance please show that you are confident and able to lead.

please note that attendance is still being taken when there's dance. so not being present would require an MC to cover our absence. parents letters are not able to cover your absence unless for family emergencies. reasons like not checking the schedule will not be accepted as you've been checking it since rapture and rapture being over is not a valid excuse. you join dance to dance not for rapture. please also take note that being absent repeatedly without valid reasons will result in being referred to mrs chia. all MCs or letters are to be passed to either keisha or myself.
those who feel that they are not able to cope with dance because of other CCAs or studies or personal reasons are to see mrs chia as well.

anyway, before the j2s officially say bye bye, to all who need to collect money from the dance fund, please collect them from me tmr (friday 11/8). espcially for the j2s, cuz you cant claim anymore money after tmr. so basically, any money spent before rapture 06 claim from me, any money spent after rapture 06 claim from the new treasurer, but j2s can only claim money spent before rapture 06. i hope i'm quite clear!

for costumes now: j2s! i know some of you might still be holding costumes used for yesteryear performances, like the geek freeek skirt for gala dinner last year. pleaseee bring them all tmr! and whatever accessories/clothes etc etc whoever has taken (applicable for all), return them tmr please!

hullo everyone (:

im here to settle some stuff, but before i begin, just wanna extend my warmest gratitude to all my dancers in Faded Abyss during Rapture. thank you girls so much. hope you have all received the letter and chocolates ive given out.

and so, i received the news from Kristin that you girls are gonna be doing my item for Heal The World Concert.
Hence, regarding costumes + hangers
J2s (which includes xw,celestine,sabrina) - do return your costumes to me by 11th August (Friday). Failure to comply will result in fines thankyou.

As for the J1s, the add-on dancers would probably be receiving your costumes by Friday.
After the Concert which is on the 15th, do dry-wash and return all costumes (along with hangers) to either Kristin or Amanda by the 19th of August. 18th if you girls do not have dance on the 19th. I'll be going back to the studio to collect on that following Monday cos I have to return it.

Any later than that, you girls would probably have to return it yourself so do TAKE NOTE* and mark it down or something cos i know this announcement might be a little early.

*EDIT
The girls from Scarlet Fever still holding on to the gloves, please do return them promptly to studio as well on Friday - 11th August, words from Corinne.

Rapture was great thanks to you wonderful dancers! the feedbacks are extremely overwhelming (i was at the latecomers corner this morning and instead of scolding me Mr Silas shook my hand and congratulated us for the wonderful show that night!) and trust me when i say it really wasn't like this last year :D and tea reception!? the last time they had one for dance society was for SYF gold with honours! wow we must have done a really good job to deserve that haven't we. go on, pat your back and congratulate yourself heee.


on to more serious matters; Asmaradana girls please return your costumes and hats to me by this friday die die must be in by this friday okay!

and in addition to the returning of lanterns, speakers, radio as stated previously, please also return whatever you have taken out of the studio for example additional costumes, props like fans and other accessories like Navras headgears etc. by this Friday as well to make housekeeping easier.


and as you all know the studio is in a horrendous state of mess at the moment and it won't get any better with the coming in of costumes and props etc. so J1 excos please take charge of tidiness which will probably include a new duty roster and help Andrea with the arrangement of costumes in the backroom (the costumes are strewn all over the floor!).

hi all! once again rapture is here. which means a whole lot of unfinished business here.

DANCE FUND
please bring $2.50 on wednesday. this applies to everyone. this money collected is for the flowers for the choreographers on friday night. and it's at esplanade, so presentable flowers must be bought haha. anyone who doesnt pay me by wednesday will hafta pay a fine; $1 per day, cuz time is running out very fast.

COSTUMES
as all of you know, rapture is in less than 5 days time. and none of you would wanna be losing your costumes, props, accessories etc at this point in time. and on friday, everyone and everything will be in a disarray. so, it's important to start labelling your costumes.

when we talk about labelling our costumes, we mean big fat labels. names MUST be written on every possible piece of costume, every possible piece of accessories, every possible piece of props. write your names in marker, on masking tape and paste your labels at conspicuous spots so that it's easy for people or you to identify the piece of costume. for people who are very prone to perspiring gallons of sweat after dance (like me ahha) you might wanna paste a piece of scotchtape over the masking tape to make it waterproof, otherwise if you perspire the ink on the marker might stain your costumes or your body. oh yes label your shoes as well.

you know some of your costumes might have those washing labels at the side? DO NOT write your name on those labels. they're too small and no one will see it.

to make this clearer, i've attached a picture at the bottom to show a sample of how the label should look like:



start labelling your costumes! they sld be labelled by wednesday and the latest, thursday. or else when you start losing your costumes your choreographers are gonna be real mad at you.

one more thing. prepare hangers with those clips attached (not the normal kind of hanger and you get two clips to clip). picture of the right kind of hangers is shown below. clip all the necessary costumes/accesories etc of an item onto one hanger, eg for corinne's dance, clip your cheongsam, your spanky pants, your stockings, your red cloth, your feathers and hair motif (if possible) all together on one hanger. this is to make your life more organised and tidier.
