hey dancers! you know opening the door to the studio this morning to put the makeup inside made me tear, i didn't even want to step in. ):
anyway, i'm really proud of everyone's performances last night! we all know where we were a week ago, and its amazing how we turned things around and put up a good show last night. i really thank God for all of you and the team spirit we have. particularly singing joyful joyful whenever the music didn't work (:
going to miss SA dance more than you know it ):

admin stuff: everyone is to return costumes next wed 245 at the studio! list of costumes to be returned will be put up once i confirm with the choreographers. also please return anything you borrowed from ms wee and zaki (socks and stuff). j1 exco will be in charge. j2s please clear your 'boxes' in the studio i think you know what i mean!
the 5 girls who wore black for matheus' item, your dresses need to be in by tmr. pass to shanshan.

hey dancers! (: last post before we hand over the blog to the new exco.
yesterday was great :D i think Rapture 2008 was particularly full of memorable times- good and bad ones. yes, we can all nod to the bad ones especially. but im so proud that we stuck together and as one team, didnt back down despite the obstacles faced. each and everyone of you made me very very proud and yesterday's show really showed your sincerity, respect and commitment towards dance and all the choreographers! :D keep up the good job! syf is next year :D we'll come back and help when we can :D don't give your new exco a hard time okay! listen to them and work as a team. always respect your leaders and when in doubt, always ask (:
we mustnt forget to thank God for bringing us through Rapture. TO GOD BE THE GLORY for making the show such a success. against all odds, we pulled through with his help! :D
couldnt have asked for a better team and a better experience than you guys :D love you all so so much and will always remember the times we had together! :D

studio will be open tmr after 7 for people who need to deposit their luggages. check in to the studio! :D please make sure you have everything you need for full dress tmr. final checklists will be up on the studio mirrors so take them down okay! that means you are to bring home everything you need for rapture, foot thongs etc. so try to arrange for transport home with your parents if possible.

costume for finale is white and yellow. please put together an outfit by tmr!

reporting time on tues is 830 at the esplanade lobby.

HI JUNIORS!
rapture is like, really soon! and here's just a note of encouragement to each and everyone of you.. press on, its only 3 days away! although i may not be performing with you guys, i'll be watching from my awesome seats i got :D so make me proud!
but seriously, more than that, i'm sure you all want to do your very best after spending so much time, and putting in so much effort (not to mention sweat, blisters, dead skin and blood of course) into this performance. furthermore, its at ESPLANADE! how many people dream of performing there, but you lucky ones get to BE there and perform on the very same stage so many professionals have used as well.
as rapture draws closer and closer, remember to take care of yourselves. don't do stupid things and get yourselves injured just before the show, eat well, drink plenty plenty of water and sleep a hell lot esp on tuesday night!
j1s for some of you it may be your first time performing, for others maybe not.
j2s for most of you guys it'll be your last show! ):
but whatever it is just give it your best shot and show the whole school, your family and friends the tremendous amount of effort you've put in (all the hours you've been MIA-ing from so many things) and show everyone how much passion you have for dance and how awesome SAJC dance is!

yes, i'm very naggy. so the point is- this is it!

hello dancers schedule for this week is as per normal for the student items.

wed 3-5 ms wee will have gospel rehearsal, the rest will have cleanups for opening. zaki will come in after that.

rock ballet: this thurs' rehearsal should end quite late so be prepared to stay! zaki will be coming in to do cleanups at 630. girls bring ballet tights, worms want to check. make sure they're not faded or torn okay! those who don't have either borrow, or buy. i think worms will tell you where she wants you to get from.

we're down to 2 weeks dancers! so take your cleanups seriously!

blocking continues for the opening! so please have your steps in mind! you might want to bring in any clothes you've found for opening/hot ride/country to let zaki/ms wee see. please don't leave it to the last minute okay!

character people in my dance don't have to come on fri. i'm only rehearsing tap and contemp. but please practise your steps before sat vetting okay! make it good (: anw the school's paying for the material cost of the skirt (about $10 per person), so you have to pay me about $25 for the tailoring. you get to keep the skirt!

alumni: sat's vetting is at 3pm.

we'll be taking photos for the rapture programme booklet this sat, so J1s wear white tshirt, J2s black tshirt. please make sure everyone knows this!
also please pay cheeyang! you won't get your shirts/pullovers unless you pay him. J2s let him know if you want to get a pullover.

next monday's youth day, and we're going to make the most of it by having practice! all of you know how close rapture is and how much each item is FAR from performance standard. so keep your whole monday free! we'll let you know the detailed schedule for next week on sat, you might want to bring a note book or something to take it down. i'll put a copy up on the notice board as well.
