Welfare

in order to minimize injury and thus ensuring the success of Rapture, please heed the following advices:

no participation in sports and rigorous physical activities whatsoever,
refrain yourself from being tempted by the ball that you see sitting alone all by itself waiting to be kicked or thrown. boys especially, no soccer, no basketball, no rugby etc; you are to stay 10 metres away from sports equipment and people doing sports (if the ball hit you how? and if you get tempted to play how? so the moral of the story is stay far far away),
if possible, get yourself excused from PE for the whole of next week. just tell your PE teacher Rapture is coming and you are not allowed to participate in any form of physical activities. they know and they understand. or at least they should,
and most importantly don't be stupid and expose yourself to potential hazards.

so yup, you are responsible for your own welfare and most importantly the success of Rapture. one missing body in any item will make the blockings look odd and there's no time to do changes! anyone who falls out of Rapture due to injuries that could be prevented will be thrown out of dance with immediate effect muahaha!

okay i'm kidding. but please take good care of yourself and rest well. 7 more days to Rapture so break a leg! (not literally of course)

1)bring your pumps/mary janes for broadway item on SAT,22/7. Fines will apply for people who do not have them on Sat.
2)absentees for the past week, pls pass your MCs to Xiaowei. If not, we will take it as absence without reason.

Changes to the schedule

Hi all. In response to feedback given, the schedule from next week,24th July onwards, will be arranged according to order of appearance in Rapture.

This is to ensure that there is no ambiguity abt the fairness of the previous arrangement that was according to the day the choreographer chose themselves right in the beginning of the yr. But that's all not important anymore.

SO,the new schedule will be arranged according to order of appearance in Rapture, BUT it may be shifted around abit to maximise time use. Some alert ones would have known that i asked choreographers for their earliest times they can start every day. So to spare all of us any further queries, i will note them all down here.

The earliest time each choreographer can start daily:

MON
at 415pm:Reza, Corinne, Jilyn
at 445pm:Musa
at 515pm: Andrea,Amelia,Celestine

TUE
at 515pm: all choreographers except Amelia
at 630pm: Amelia

WED(cca day so everyone ends by 215pm)

THU
at 315pm:Reza
at 415pm:all except Reza and Celestine
at 630pm:Celestine

FRI(cca day so everyone ends by 245pm)

ok so after looking at all this,pls understand if you realise that the new schedule does not go strictly according to order of appearance on some days.It is because your choreographer can start earlier...so the slot is swopped.Cheers to everyone!3 more weeks of eat.sleep.dance.repeat!

1)get your pumps/mary janes by 22/7(pls make sure they don't drop off while dancing)
2) j1s,find a partner to pair up with for sharing the eyeshadow.i will be giving it out to u guys next practice.

Rapture tix!+misc. announcements

ok,so as you have read corinne's post before this..as another member of RSSRPTC,i announce that our official recruitment of more members will commence at 230pm sharp on WED,12/7.
All who were at the photo shoot that day are required to turn up at the dance studio. We will throw out all dance tees,pants,shoes n watever-that-looks-like-rubbish...so pls bring ur stuff home on wed!only costumes and props are allowed in the dressing rm(it's running out of space,guys!)

RAPTURE TIX COLLECTION
tix will be given out on WED,12/7, at 5pm in the dance studio by mrs chia.ALL tickets that you have ordered will be placed in a single envelope,so pls check your seat numbers carefully!

TO-DO list for STUDENT CHOREOGRAPHERS:
1)write in a list the earliest time your dancers are able to start practices daily. eg,mon:5pm,tue:5pm. i will collect this list from you on WED,12/7
2) send me the best few pictures for your item by WED,12/7,10pm.if you miss the deadline,the pictures will just not appear in the programme bk.(ashaforlife@gmail.com)

Hi there all you little slobs who dwell in the studio,
this is a message from your one of your few, resident studio sweeper, rubbish picker and trash cleaner.

It has come to our attention that after any performance/event that requires make-up,there will ALWAYS be facial wipes, tissue paper and whatnots strewn all over the studio floor. The pots of eyeshawdow and caps of the cans of hairspray are also left all over the place as if some magnetic force will return them to the make-up box.

And the ironic thing is that the studio is always clean the next time you return.
WHY?

it is because the resident studio sweeper, rubbish picker and trash cleaners (now will be referred to as RSSRPTC) are always picking up after you and cleaning up your disgusting mess as if you were 3 year old kids.

From now on if you do not even have the single courtesy, self-responsibility or common sense to pick up after yourself, you're going to have to start paying for the services of the RSSRPTC.

EVERYBODY present on the day when the studio gets messed up has to pay a $1 fine, even if you did pick up your litter (kudos to you, but unfortunately the RSSRPTC is very disgruntled at this point so too bad).

So this is simple, pick up after yourself and remind your friends to do so as well.

The RSSRPTC is tired and plans to disband.

Makeup stuff & photo shoot

IPHO dancers:
pls report to the dance studio at 1130am tmr and pay $30 for your foundation and eyeshadow. U will be able to receive them before sunday's performance:) Also, sponges are going to be given FOC so if you haven't bought sponges,gd for u!but if u have, even better!cos u can use it for rapture:)

Pls note that everyone has to use a plain black rubber band to tie your ponytail, and no stray hairs are allowed so pls slather on the gel generously!

To all J1s:
In addition, remember the flat brushes that i asked u guys to buy the last time to draw eyeliner?they are optional now as you can choose between using that and liquid eyeliner for rapture(pencil eyeliner is not dark enough!)

Pls bring $30 on wed,12/7.a $1 fine will be payable to the dance fund if you forget to bring the money!btw,gd luck for the rest of your papers!:)

***IMPT: photo shoot on SAT,8th July

There will be a photo shoot for all students' items this Sat after Zaki's practice.
Your choreographers will inform you if you are needed in the photo shoot and also tell you what you have to bring eg.white pants etc
Pls be prepared to put on more dramatic makeup as these photos have to look nice for our programme bk!:)

To Choreographers:
the sequence of the shoot will go as follows-Andrea,Musa,Reza,Corinne,Jilyn,Celestine,Amelia
Pls arrange with the choreographer before and after your slot to ensure that the dancers involved do not overlap.This is to avoid wasting the time allocated.Pls keep strictly to the 20 min time limit to use the CC stage.(you are free to use any other parts of the sch too!)

To Exco:
we need to take a picture for the programme bk too so it will be right before all the items' shots.attire will be confirmed at a later date.

Pls note down ALL props you will be using in your item and specify instructions for them, like if you need it hung up or sth. Email this list to me by Sunday,9th July or risk having some of your props forfeited by Esplanade!
