# Reminiscing the Moon by Boi Sakti
(highly reccommended by Zaki FYI)
Discover the sense of wonder as a collage of inmages take you on a jouney through hope and sadness, love and helplessness. This 70min epic dance production which fuses contemporary dance with traditional Indonesian martial art form of pencak silat was inspired by quotes about the state of women:
'we are women who hunger for food, home and freedom.
relationship among ourselves, hunger for our nullified selves'
(excerpt from statement at the World Women Congress 1995)
With these images, this work hopes to awaken you, the freedom of your imagination.
etc etc. (the description is really long)
DATE (preferred): 2nd (fri) or 3rd(sat) of Sept 2005
VENUE: Esplanade Theatre
PRICE: $28, $38, $48, $58, $68
Here's the most delectable part:
A SPECIAL DISCOUNT at 20% to schools for purchases of 20 tickets or more and a subsidy by Tote Board Arts Grant for up to 60% of ticket prices (capped at $20) of ticket prices. :D!
So in my opinion,
forget about the $28, $38 ticket cause you cant see shit,
and the $68 ticket because we don't print money.
**PRICING for $48!
-if we get 20 dancers to come
SCENARIO 1:
20% off
=$38.40
SCENARIO 2
20% + 60%
(im not sure if they come together):
= $18.40
SCENARIO 3:
60% off
=$28.00
PRICING for $58!
-if we get 20 dancers to come
SCENARIO 1:
20% off
=$46.40
SCENARIO 2
20% + 60%
(im not sure if they come together):
= $26.40
SCENARIO 3:
60% off
=$38
Please tag on tell me what you think,
i believe that we're most likely going to
follow the prices of SCENARIO 3
im waiting for their response for this clarrification.
but i think buying the $48 ticket at $28
seems like the best option!
(NOT INCLUSIVE OF SISTIC's $2 charge ~!#$^%&)
we're trying to make this a dance outing
so do please come if you can make it!!!
and then we can go have dinner before that and stuff!
whoo!****ALSO-With all sense of pragmatism-
Dancers whom are intending to quit the SA Dance Society
[although you reallyreallyreally shouldn't!!!! :( :( :( :( ]
should do so by the
end of next weekto lessen complications in the future.
Please approach Mrs Chia for confirmation.
